College Structure

The Fellows of the College constitute the governing body of Royal College of Physicians of Ireland. By-Law amendments approved at the October 2009 College meeting allow Council meetings to take the place of College meetings during the delegation period from one Annual Stated Meeting to the next.

The Fellows of the College meet at the Annual Stated Meeting on October 18 each year and at local area College meetings to review and/or address business Council is conducting on their behalf. Fellows of the College can convene an extraordinary meeting at any time during the delegation period.
