Continuing Medical Education

Continuing Medical Education (CME) consists of lifelong educational activities that serve to maintain, develop, or increase the knowledge, skills, and professional performance and relationships a physician uses to provide services for patients, the public, or the profession.

The Royal College of Physicians of Ireland provides a central CME office to facilitate the process of recording and monitoring Continuing Medical Education and Continuing Professional Development (CPD). This CME service is one of the benefits of Fellowship and Membership for Fellows and Members of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland and its Faculties and Institute who are in good standing.

The Royal College of Physicians of Ireland also offers a CME monitoring and recording service to physicians who are not Members or Fellows of the College or its constituent bodies.  The service is provided for a nominal fee.  Please contact the RCPI CME Office for further information.
