Introduction
The Membership of the Faculty of Public Health Medicine Part I examination is designed to test the candidate’s knowledge and understanding of epidemiology, statistics, social sciences in relation to public health medicine and the principles of administration and management in relation to health and social services.

Revision of the Regulations in November 2006 has resulted in the following changes:
From 2008 onwards there will be one sitting of this examination only, the 'Spring' sitting. The examination schedule is also being changed. Paper 2 will be on the morning of Day 2 and Paper 3 will be moved to the afternoon of Day 1.
