RCPI Announce Finalists for RCPI Case Study Competition for GPT Trainees
24/03/2009
Since the launch of the RCPI Online Medical Education Centre in July 2008, trainees on the General Professional Training (GPT) programme have been submitting case studies for inclusion on the GPT section of the website.

Submitted case studies are reviewed by the Collegiate Members Committee and if deemed suitable, are uploaded to the online education centre for the benefit of all trainees on the GPT programme. All accepted case studies are considered for the RCPI Case Study Competition annual award.

Following a meeting of the Collegiate Members Committee, the following two case studies have been selected as finalists for the RCPI Case Study Competition annual award: Dr Claire Kennedy’s case study on “An interesting case of the hiccoughs” and Dr Michelle O’Shaughnessy’s case study on “Gout in the renal transplant patient”. One other finalist will be selected between now and July 2009.

If you are on the GPT programme and wish to submit a case study, please log on to the GPT section of the Online Medical Education Centre.
