As part of the implementation of the Colleges’ Reforming for Excellence programme the College has been active over the past year, in three key areas – setting and maintaining the standards of postgraduate medical education and training; engaging in a positive way with the public; and taking a leadership role in the developing and influencing of Government policy on health and the future direction of the profession.
While being a Fellow or Collegiate Member of the College provides an opportunity to contribute to these initiatives, it also entitles Fellows and Collegiate Members to a new range of benefits and services.
Launching the new suite of benefits and services, RCPI President, Dr John Donohoe said “The involvement of Fellows and Collegiate Members is critical to the success of our activities and I am very happy with the recent expansion of the number of Fellows and Collegiate Members involved in a variety of roles across all College activities.”
“Fellows and Collegiate Members form the nucleus of the College and I am very conscious of the importance of their contribution to the work of the College. We must ensure that we have an active engagement with them to ensure that we are able to respond appropriately to their needs and requirements. I am delighted to officially launch these new benefits and services and I am committed to their on-going development and enhancement.” said Dr. Donohoe.
