The Faculty of Occupational Medicine, RCPI, has won their bid to host the 2018 International Commission on Occupational Health (ICOH) Congress in Dublin.
Dr Martin Hogan, Dean of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine, and members of the local organising committee presented their bid at this year’s ICOH Congress in Cancun, Mexico. The theme of their bid was From Ireland to the World – Uniting Occupational Health Professionals in Ireland in 2018 to Promote the Health of the Worker Internationally.
Members of ICOH voted by secret ballot and the results were announced at the ICOH General Assembly on 23 March 2012. The Dublin bid was competing with Marrakech, Morocco.
The ICOH Congress is a global Occupational Health event, held every three years, that attracts over 2,000 occupational health professionals. The 2018 Congress will be held in the Convention Centre Dublin. You can view the full bid document here.
