Hot Topics: Acute Medical Admissions will commence on Friday 9th December 2011 from 9:30am – 4:00pm in the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland, No. 6 Kildare St. Dublin 2. 

This programme focuses on improving outcomes within the early hours of acute medical admissions and will cover the following areas:

• AMU in context: Improving Outcomes
• Management of common CNS infections
• Update on thrombosis issues in pregnancy
• Sepsis: Update on early management
• The Breathless Patient – a respiratory consult
• The Breathless Patient – a cardiology consult
• Management of common metabolic disorders on call
• Early management of acute kidney injury
• Early management of seizure disorders
• Update on the management of TIAs

Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
This meeting has been approved for 5 CPD credits.

Registration on this programme is open to all medical practitioners. Please note prior registration is essential.

A registration fee of €75.00 applies before the 1st December 2011; thereafter the fee will be €100.00.
