Secure passwords have now been posted to all trainees, who have paid their registration fee, for the General Professional Training and Higher Medical Training programmes.
As soon as you receive your password, please follow the instructions below to complete your registration and access the new RCPI Online Medical Education Centre.
A Quick Guide to Online Registration

To login to the RCPI Online Medical Education Centre you must ensure you have:

Your RCPI ID Number – This unique identifier is printed on your RCPI College Card. If you cannot locate your RCPI ID Number please contact the RCPI Helpdesk at +353 1 8639721 or at helpdesk@rcpi.ie
- Your secure password – This secure password was posted to you by RCPI. If you do not have your secure password please contact the RCPI Helpdesk at +353 1 8639721 or at helpdesk@rcpi.ie
With your RCPI ID Number and Password, please follow these steps to register on the RCPI Online Medical Education Centre:
- STEP 1 – Go to the RCPI website at www.rcpi.ie
- STEP 2 – On the left-hand side of the RCPI homepage, go to the LOGIN box
- STEP 3 – Click on LOGIN FOR THE FIRST TIME
- STEP 4 – Enter your RCPI ID Number in the USERNAME field
- STEP 5 – Enter your SECURE PASSWORD in the PASSWORD field
- STEP 6 – Click LOGIN
- STEP 7 – You will be presented with a personalised @physicians.ie email address. RCPI has suggested you use your first name and last name when creating this email account
(e.g., johnsmith@physicians.ie)
- STEP 8 – To check the availability of this address click CHECK USERNAME
- STEP 9 – If your selected username is available click NEXT. If your suggested username is not available, please try using your first name, middle initials and last name.
(e.g., johnfsmith@physicians.ie). When you have selected a username, which is available, click NEXT.
For all further visits to the RCPI Online Medical Education Centre you must login using your @physicians.ie email address
- STEP 10 – You will then be asked to review and confirm personal and other details that the College holds on our secure database relating to your profile. You will also be asked to select a new password.
Please retain this new password as you will require it the next time you login to the RCPI Online Medical Education Centre
- STEP 11 – You have now completed registration for the RCPI Online Medical Education Centre
- STEP 12 – Keep your @physicians.ie email account name and your new password in a safe place. You will need both these pieces of information to login to the RCPI Online Medical Education Centre in the future
It is important to remember that all communications to you will be via your @physicians.ie email address, so please check it on a regular basis. You may also forward this email to another email address if required.
