The William Stokes Award 2009 is open to Specialist Registrars who are either currently registered in a Higher Specialist Training programme with the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland or who have successfully completed a Higher Specialist Training programme through the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland within the last 2 years. The purpose of the award is to support and recognise the highest standard of research by Specialist Registrars.
Applicants may submit an abstract of their research paper to the Collegiate Members Committee before the 11th of September 2009. The research may be either published or unpublished.
A judging process will commence in October 2009 that will conclude with three finalists presenting their abstracts to an adjudication panel during the annual St. Luke’s Day Celebrations on October 23, 2009.
