Associate Dean, Hospital Inspections:

The Royal College of Physicians of Ireland is responsible for the organisation and implementation of hospital inspections for each training location associated with postgraduate medical training programmes.  Inspections are conducted to ascertain the quality of the training experience gained, the facilities available and the opportunities to advance with audit and research during the time trainees are allocated to each training location.

The Associate Dean, Hospital Inspections will have responsibility for overseeing the hospital inspection process for 25 Higher Specialist Training   programmes, management and approval of accreditation of new and existing training posts and accreditation of trainers.

Associate Dean, Registrar Training Programme:

The Registrar Training Programme (RTP) has been introduced on a pilot basis for 2010. The programme is aimed at doctors who wish to progress their career in specialist medical training. The RTP provides a structured programme of training and for doctors registered in the training programme.
The Associate Dean, RTP is a new role and the person appointed will be responsible for the 2010 pilot Registrar Training Programme as well as assisting in the development and delivery of the 2011 programme.
