The William Stokes Award 2010 is open to Specialist Registrars who are currently registered in a Higher Specialist Training programme with the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland. The purpose of the award is to support the highest standard of research by Specialist Registrars.
Applicants may submit an abstract of their research paper to the Collegiate Members Committee before Friday 10 September 2010. The research may be either published or unpublished.
A judging process will commence in October 2010 that will conclude with three finalists presenting their abstracts to an adjudication panel during the annual St. Luke’s Symposium on Friday 5 November 2010.
Abstracts will be judged on layout and format of the paper, the methodology, results, multi-disciplinary involvement and conclusion/take home message. Of the abstracts submitted, three papers will be chosen for presentation to the adjudication panel to compete for the bursary.
