Enrol on a Professional Competence Scheme

Doctors will enrol on Professional Competence Schemes using the online application form.   Enrolment will be a two-step process: applicants will initially complete and submit the relevant online application form, and; once this has been received and validated, applicants will be advised to pay the annual fee online.

Annual Fee
Professional Competence Schemes are subject to an annual fee which must be agreed by the Medical Council and which will be reviewed on an annual basis.  The fee for Professional Competence Schemes  to be operated by RCPI’s Training Bodies has been set at €250 for 2011/2012.  Fellows and Members of the College/Faculties/Institute who are in good standing will be entitled to a discount as follows:

• 20% discount to Fellows, Members or Licentiates of the College and its Faculties or Institute in good standing, resulting in a fee of €200

• 30% discount to Fellows, Members or Licentiates with dual Membership of one or more of RCPI, its Faculties or Institute in good standing, resulting in a fee of €175

• Ensure you have your Medical Council Registration Number to hand

• When you complete the first section you will be sent a UAN (Unique Applicant Number) which you should retain carefully
• It is possible to “Save and Return” to the application form at any stage prior to final submission
