Applications for the MRCPI Obstetrics and Gynaecology Part II Written Exam taking place on 28 August are now open and will close on Wednesday 26 June 2019.
As the number of candidates applying for the written examination has been rising over the past number of years, this has greatly impacted on candidates applying for the OSCE/Clinical component - leading to a waiting list to get a place on the exam.
As a result of this, we have to limit the number of places available for the written exam from now on.
In response to growing demand we have increased the annual number of spaces available in the OSCE/Clinical exam with new centres in Cork, Dubai and Abu Dhabi. There is a new centre planned for Galway later this year.
As numbers will be limited, it was agreed that the most equitable way to allocate places is to prioritise doctors on our Basic Specialist Training Programme/CPSP Training Programme, followed by candidates with only one attempt left. The remaining places will be allocated in order of the date and time of each candidate’s online application.
If you do not secure a place in the August 2019 examination we will endeavour to accommodate you at the next sitting of the examination in March 2020. However the same priority rules will apply for the next examination.
Our Examinations Department is happy to talk to you about applying to any of our postgraduate examinations. Please note, at present the fastest way to contact this department is via email.
