Become a Fellow of the Faculty

You can promote and develop the specialty of Occupational Medicine in Ireland by:

  • acting in an advisory capacity to Government and statutory bodies
  • acting as a vital source of information for media, the general public and other medical professionals
  • developing and delivering postgraduate training programmes
  • setting the standards in the Licentiateship and Membership of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine examinations
  • developing and delivering Professional Competence Schemes.

Are you ready to become a Fellow?

To become a Fellow of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine you must

  • have either been a Member of the Faculty for at least four years (Fellowship by Election), be in good standing and participating in Continuing Professional Development
  • or hold either an equivalent Fellowship or qualification (Fellowship Ad Eundum)
  • and have distinguished yourself in the practice of Occupational Medicine and contributed to the Faculty as determined by the Credentials Committee and Board of the Faculty

If you have achieved Membership of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine (MFOM), or hold equivalent Memberships recognised by the Faculty and College, you can become a Member of the Faculty.
