We are delighted to announce our eJournal Club Submission Winner for January - February 2021

Congratulations to Dr Louise Kelly, who is currently in her first year of BST GIM in Beaumont Hospital, for submitting the winning review for January - February 2021 .

Her submission is entitled “Inhaled budesonide in the treatment of early COVID-19 illness: a randomised controlled trial".

Dr Kelly, who is hoping to pursue a career in Microbiology, chose this article as it is very topical and could have huge implications in preventing hospitalisations of patients with COVID-19

About the eJournal Club

Our eJournal Club, launched in October 2019, is for doctors in Basic and Higher Specialist Training. It's a unique opportunity to share reviews of practice-changing articles with over 1,000 doctors.

The eJournal Club is in RCPI Brightspace, our virtual learning environment, and is open for submissions from doctors in BST and HST.

Trainees are welcome to submit reviews presented at journal clubs in their hospital. For the first year of the eJournal Club, articles must be relevant to the specialty of General Internal Medicine.
