Call for Abstracts - JOGS Annual Scientific

On behalf of JOGS, the Institute would like to invite you to submit an Abstract for the JOGS Annual Scientific Meeting 2011 

 

The meeting will take place on Friday, 25th November 2011 at the Royal College of Physicians, No. 6 Kildare Street, Dublin

 

Rules and Regulations

  1. Closing date for receipt of abstracts is Monday 31 October 2011
  2. The abstract should be structured as follows:
    • A descriptive title in CAPITAL LETTERS
    • The initials and surname of the author(s) without titles or degrees
    • The department(s), institution(s) and city(ies)/town(s) should be listed next
    • The abstract should be of the informative type, containing 5(five) paragraphs but without any subtitles or paragraph headings:
      • Background - Briefly describe the context for the work and explain why this study was needed.
      • Purpose of Study - What did you aim to achieve with this study?
      • Study Design and Methods - Describe the key activities that define the work. For example, provide information that answers questions such as: With whom did you work? How did you identify/ select these people? What was your intervention? How did you measure it?
      • Findings of the Study - What did you discover from doing this work?
      • Conclusions and programme implications - What can you conclude about this field? How might this information be used by other organisations?
    • The abstract must not exceed 250 words excluding the title, author(s) name(s), address(es), and any references
    • Then using abbreviations, spell out the full name on first mention. Avoid excessive use of abbreviations
