Elections 2026: RCPI President-Designate and Ordinary Councillors

Nominations have now closed. The ballot opens on 20 May.


In 2026, elections will take place for the positions of President-Designate and four Ordinary Councillors.

The Ordinary Councillor positions will comprise three Fellows from the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (Medicine) and one Fellow from the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (Occupational Medicine).

These roles are appointed for a three-year term commencing 18 October 2026.

Nominations have now closed, and the ballot will open on 20 May. Details, including how Fellows can cast their vote, will be shared on this page shortly.
