Faculty of Paediatrics Study Day, Ralph Counihan Lecture and Annual General Meeting

The Faculty of Paediatrics, RCPI will hold its CME Study, Annual Ralph Counahan Lecture and Annual General Meeting on Friday 8th October 2010. This meeting will be followed by the Faculty Admission Ceremony and Annual Dinner.  

This meeting is aimed at consultants and trainees in paediatrics, public health nurses, area medical officers, etc. The Annual General Meeting of the Faculty is open only to Fellows of the Faculty.

The meeting will take place on Friday 8th October 2010 in the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland, No 6 Kildare Street, Dublin 2

CME Study Session

The CME Study Day, which aims to keep doctors up to date on evolving medical practice, will include presentations on child protection, growth charts, newborn screening, cochlear implants and other aspects of medical audiology.

Ralph Counahan Lecture

The Ralph Counahan Lecture will be delivered by Dr Terence Stephenson, Professor of Child Health and Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at the University of Nottingham and Vice-President for Research and Science, Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health.

Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting of the Faculty will take place at 3:20pm and is only open to Fellows of the Faculty of Paediatrics.

Evening Programme

New Members and Fellows of the Faculty will be admitted at the Admission Ceremony of the Faculty of Paediatrics that evening. This will be followed by the Faculty’s Annual Black-Tie Dinner
