The Faculty of Paediatrics at RCPI is the national professional and training body for paediatrics in Ireland, working to ensure the highest standards in child health.

Fellowship
We offer both Basic and Higher Specialist Training Programmes in Paediatrics, giving you the opportunity to train to a high level in this specialty.
If you are registered on the Supervised, General or Specialist Division of the Irish Medical Council Register, you are required to be enrolled on a Professional Competence Scheme. This section will guide you through the process and help you maintain your professional competence.
We offer Professional Competence Schemes in Paediatrics in both the Specialist and General Divisions. This section will help you define the right Scheme for you.

MRCPI is a post graduate knowledge-based assessment and achieved through examination. MRCPI in Paediatrics is a fundamental component of RCPIs Training programme which is accredited by the Irish Medical Council.
