Medical Excellence Recognised at the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland

On 6 November 2024, the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland celebrated the remarkable achievements of 68 healthcare professionals during a prestigious ceremony at No. 6 Kildare Street. 

68 healthcare professionals were recognised for their dedication to advancing healthcare through the completion of three certificates: 

  • 27 successfully completed the Postgraduate Certificate in Quality Improvement Leadership in Healthcare  

  • 19 successfully completed the Postgraduate Certificate in Cancer Genetics and Genomics 

  • 22 successfully completed the Certificate in Essential Leadership for New Consultants  

These programmes reflect the college's broader mission to drive excellence in healthcare by providing world-class training and encouraging lifelong learning among healthcare professionals. 

Addressing the new graduates, Professor Liam Plant said: “The Certificates conferred on each of you today are awarded following the completion of rigorous and demanding curricula for your subject led by a dedicated Faculty who are recognised leaders in their respective fields. You have, no doubt, made personal sacrifices to obtain this qualification and we value your commitment in the pursuit of excellence.” 

This celebration of medical excellence reaffirms the importance of education and leadership in shaping the future of healthcare, both in Ireland and beyond.
