As a mentor you will support early-stage consultants as they navigate the healthcare system as an independent practitioner. The mentor will be matched to a mentee and meet regularly over a 12 month period. The mentorship programme is tailored to the needs of the individual and broadly covers; building leadership and management skills, growing an effective network, establishing relationships with colleagues and key stakeholders, guidance on specific competencies and accelerating the development of a full range of practice and career planning.
Mentoring is currently voluntary and is suited to those semi-retired or retired with a desire to share their wealth of knowledge and experience with newer consultants that can benefit greatly from their support.
