How to apply for CPD approval

As well as our own CPD courses and events, we also offer an approval system for eligible CPD activities run by third parties. This section takes organisers through the process.

New CPD Accreditation Framework

The Medical Council has introduced a new formal Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Accreditation Framework to strengthen the quality and consistency of CPD for doctors. RCPI will implement this new CPD Accreditation Framework in July 2026.
