Exam Applications

 

Following a review of the costs associated with delivering Membership and Faculty examinations, the College is increasing examination fees by 3% from 01 January 2024.
  
The costs for delivering examinations both in Ireland and internationally have risen driven by inflation worldwide.

The 2024 Examinations open for enrolment from August 2023 will be subject to the new fee structure. Any exam candidate working in Ireland can apply for a refund upon successfully passing an exam, under the HSE Clinical Course and Examination Refund Scheme.

LFOM Written

Applications are now closed

The last LFOM Written examination took place on 22 January 2024. 

2025 exam dates are yet to be confirmed. 

Applications closed Please note:
  • Verifications are completed up to two weeks after the closing date for applications.
  • The LFOM exam is now held online, via remote invigilation. Candidates may sit the exam anywhere in the world, provided they have a reliable internet connection. Click here for more information.

LFOM Portfolio

Applications are now closed

Deadline to submit the LFOM portfolios and deadline to apply for a Viva resit was 28 February 2024. Applications are now closed. 

Candidates who receive a preliminary pass on their portfolio will be asked to attend a Viva exam, which will be held virtually on 16, 17 and 18 April 2024. More details will be sent to candidates in due course.

Applications are closed Please note:
  • LFOM Portfolios are accepted once a year. 
  • Please note that only candidates who have passed the LFOM Written exam are eligible to submit their portfolio.
  • Verification of the applications will start after the closing date. Please note that the candidate's portfolios will be reviewed for anti plagiarism as part of the submission process. 
  • The results will be sent to the candidates within four weeks after the submission deadline.
