Update 17 September 2025

Following a review of the costs associated with delivering Membership and Faculty examinations, the College is increasing examination fees by €20 for each exam part/sitting across all examinations from 01 January 2026.

The costs for delivering clinical exams both in Ireland and Internationally continue to rise driven by inflation worldwide. For clinical examinations cost increases apply to flights, accommodation, catering, room hire, invigilator and actor fees. For written examinations we continue to invest in new technologies that will improve and future-proof our online exam delivery.

The 2026 Examinations open for enrolment from September 2025 will be subject to the new fee structure. The examinations taking place in 2025 are subject to the current fee structure.

For more details of how this increase will be reflected please visit the RCPI website for fees - https://www.rcpi.ie/Learn-and-Develop/Examinations/Examinations-Schedule.

Any exam candidate working in Ireland can apply for a refund upon successfully passing an exam, under the HSE Clinical Course and Examination Refund Scheme.

Please see the RCPI Exams Candidate Privacy Notice available here.
