MFOM is a post graduate knowledge-based assessment that is achieved through examination. The MFOM examination is a fundamental component of the Higher Specialist Training Programme in Occupational Medicine which is accredited by the Medical Council. The examination is taken in the final stage of Training before independent practice.
The MFOM qualification is recognised by the General Medical Council in the UK. This means that international medical graduates can apply for full registration with a licence to practice in the UK if they hold Membership of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine.
