About Wellbeing 2

Wellbeing 2 is a national cross-sectional study examining the wellbeing of hospital doctors in Ireland, ten years after the First National Wellbeing Study carried out in 2014.
Sponsored by the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland, and supported by all postgraduate training bodies, Wellbeing 2 wants to measure the personal and workplace wellbeing of hospital doctors and compare results to the orginal study, in addition to taking into account the signficant changes in the healthcare landscape over the last 10 years.
The Principal Investigator is Professor Blánaid Hayes who conducted the original Wellbeing 1 study and she is collaborating with the Co-Investigator Dr Mary Teresa O’Neill (Aspire Fellow).
An expert advisory group with representatives from psychiatry, psychology, occupational medicine, general practice, and health and wellbeing has contributed to the design of the questionnaire.
Who can take part?
Consultants, NCHDs and GP trainees working in Irish hospitals are invited to take part in the study and complete a questionnaire covering personal and workplace wellbeing, career satisfaction, and lifestyle behaviours.
