Applications are being sought for the role of Director of Examinations, Institute of Medicine, RCPI. This person will provide the leadership necessary for the Institute of Medicine to ensure continued and enhanced strategic management and development of postgraduate examinations nationally and internationally.
As part of our commitment to improving education, training and assessment of doctors and healthcare professionals, we are seeking to recruit a suitable candidate to lead the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland in these areas in the role of Registrar. The Registrar will lead RCPI in its goal of becoming a leader in postgraduate education and training, including examination and evaluation.
The National Office of Clinical Audit (NOCA) is establishing a panel of external peer reviewers for its annual reports. External peer reviewers will review the annual report from national clinical audits governed and managed by NOCA. This is open to healthcare professionals who have an interest in audit and the clinical specialty covered in the audit. We are inviting expressions of interest from RCPI Fellows (in good standing) for nomination to the National Office of Clinical Audit (NOCA) National ICU Audit Governance Committee for a three year term as the RCPI representative.
The Institute of Medicine Board will be established in January 2020 and we are inviting expressions of interest from RCPI Fellows in Medicine to become Members of the Board. Applications are invited from Fellows in all Medicine specialties except Respiratory Medicine, as this specialty is already sufficiently represented on the Board at this time.
Applications are currently being sought for a National Clinical Lead for the National Heart Programme. This person will be responsible for the oversight and the development of the National Heart Programme, providing leadership and guidance. The Dun’s Librarian is responsible for overseeing all matters relating to the RCPI Heritage Centre. They will develop the strategy for the Heritage Centre in close collaboration with the Keeper of Collections. They will be an advocate and spokesperson on behalf of RCPI in raising awareness of our historic collections and their ongoing development.
