Summary

The EACS Diploma in HIV Management is designed to comprehensively assess candidates’ knowledge-based professional competencies in HIV management. It supports EACS’s commitment to the following objectives:

Developed by the European AIDS Clinical Society (EACS), through its content, structure, and assessment methodologies, the examination is designed to reflect and assess the dynamic and evolving nature of HIV management in clinical practice.

 

Structure of examination

The EACS Diploma in HIV Management consists of one three-hour paper, with 120 single-best-answer (SBA) questions. The examination is delivered in computer-based format via remote invigilation.

In addition to testing core knowledge and comprehension, the examination is designed to certify candidates’ proficiency in providing high-quality care to people with HIV – upholding the advancement and harmonisation of clinical skills across the EACS healthcare community and enhancing patient care outcomes.

 

Date of examination

The next EACS Diploma in HIV Management examination will be held on 25 September 2025. Applications will open on 28 May 2025.
