Explore RCPI on Culture Night

The Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (RCPI) will once again take part in the annual nationwide Culture Night initiative, taking place on Friday, 18 September 2026. Culture Night / Oíche Chultúir is a national movement celebrating the richness and diversity of culture in Ireland today, connecting people to cultural activities locally and nationally and opening up pathways to ongoing engagement.

RCPI will open its doors from 4pm to 9pm, welcoming the public to explore the rooms of our historic home at No. 6 Kildare Street at night. Staff and volunteers will be on hand to share information about the College and the building, as well as their own experiences.

You can explore our new exhibition, Hard Hats & Vaccines: Fifty Years of the Faculties of Occupational Medicine and Public Health Medicine, which explores the development of these medical specialties through some of the objects, archives and books that form part of RCPI’s unique heritage collections.

You can also view the shortlisted entries in the Faculty of Occupational Medicine 50th Anniversary Art Competition and cast your vote for the People’s Choice Award.

To make the evening even more special, we will have a special performance by the Dawson Chorus, one of Dublin’s newest pop choirs. The choir has performed songs by artists including Lady Gaga, Lewis Capaldi, Coldplay, Chappell Roan, Dua Lipa, Madonna, Amy Winehouse and The Corrs. They will perform from 7.45pm to approximately 8.30pm.

Our open house and performance are completely free, and no booking is required.
