Membership of the Faculty of Public Health Medicine of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (MFPHMI) is an internationally recognised benchmark of excellence, valued by healthcare employers worldwide.
MFPHMI is achieved through examination and is accredited by the Medical Council of Ireland as the leading knowledge-based assessment for Public Health Medicine in Ireland. It is an essential component of Higher Specialist Training in Public Health Medicine, which is the final stage of training before independent practice.
The MFPHMI qualification is recognised by the General Medical Council in the UK. This means that international medical graduates can apply for full registration with a licence to practice in the UK if they hold Membership of the Faculty of Public Health Medicine.
