127 doctors awarded certificates of completion of specialist training at RCPI

Certificates of Satisfactory Completion of Specialist Training (CSCST) awarded to 127 doctors for 2020/ 2021

127 doctors in 15 specialties met the criteria for Certificates of Satisfactory Completion of Specialist Training (CSCST) this year in RCPI.

A CSCST is awarded to doctors who have successfully completed Higher Specialist Training and have demonstrated the advanced skills and knowledge required for practising independently as a specialist, leading a clinical team and managing the everyday challenges of our health service.

On 1 July 2021, President Prof Mary Horgan and the Dean and board members of the Institute of Medicine welcomed the new graduates in a very special virtual ceremony.

This online ceremony was a celebration of those doctors who have completed Higher Specialist Training:

Congratulations to you all on your graduation and the completion of your specialist training. This in essence marks the end of your formal training and the next step to consultant posts, and whilst formal training may end we will continue to learn and develop throughout our careers. You are now well placed to bring training to the next level. We hope to continue to support you in the future. Wishing you the very best of luck in your future careers.
