Dr Len O’Hagan CBE has been appointed CEO of the RCPI for a two-year period. Len replaces Mr Leo Kearns who recently moved into a senior role in the Health Service Executive for a two-year period.

Len is currently Chairman of Belfast Harbour Commissioner and is a Non Executive Director of Independent News and Media PLC. He has held senior positions in a number of international public companies including Fitzwilton PLC, Jefferson Smurfit Group and Safeway Ireland of which he was Chairman. He has also been a director of Waterford Wedgwood UK PLC. He is currently Chairman of Resource and Chairman of The MAC (The Metropolitan Arts Centre) in Belfast and also Vice President of the Ireland US Council.

Ms Joanna Holly has been appointed Deputy CEO of RCPI. Joanna will support the CEO and the Executive in planning, coordinating and delivering key strategic and governance matters. Joanna has been with RCPI for eight years as Head of Office of the Executive. She previously held positions in the Harvard Medical School, Boston University and the Herb Chamber Companies.
