New Chair appointed to the Institute of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists

Dr Cliona Murphy was announced as the new Chair-Elect for the Institute of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. She will take up the position at next year’s AGM in September 2018 and will serve a three year term.

Dr Cliona Murphy is a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist in the Coombe Women and Infants University Hospital and the Adelaide and Meath Children’s Hospital.

She graduated from University College Cork in 1993. She served as Ireland representative to RCOG Council from 2012 - 2016 and was Head of the Gynaecology Department at Tallaght Hospital from 2012 - 2016.
