A new way to record your Professional Competence activities

As you know, the new Medical Council Maintenance of Professional Competence (MPC) Framework was introduced on 1 May 2025.  This updated framework continues to support good professional practice, with an emphasis on self-directed CPD tailored to each doctor’s area of practice.

To facilitate the changes to the CPD requirements under the new framework, RCPI is implementing a new ePortfolio system, CPDValet, for recording your professional competence activities. The new system is very straight-forward, intuitive and we hope you find it easy to use.  There will be both desktop and mobile applications available.

We plan to launch CPDValet in week commencing 19 May 2025  and further details on how to access the system and begin recording your activities will be sent to you once CPDValet is available.
