RCPI welcomes 194 new Members

Congratulations to our newest Members!

The Royal College of Physicians of Ireland welcomed 194 new Members at a series of conferring ceremonies in its historic home at 6 Kildare Street today, 18 April 2019.

The doctors have all passed the College’s prestigious Membership (MRCPI) examinations and hail from 17 countries across the world.

134 doctors achieved their MRCPI qualification in General Medicine, 25 doctors achieved MRCPI in Paediatrics, and 35 doctors achieved MRCPI in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

President of RCPI Professor Mary Horgan welcomed the new Members in No.6 Kildare St, saying, “You are the future of the College and are linked to our rich heritage. Passing the Membership examination is a very significant achievement and all the more so given that you have busy clinical jobs. Having the letters MRCPI after your name demonstrates that you have reached a standard of clinical excellence that is recognised by employers around the world.
