As part of our commitment to improving education, training and assessment of doctors and healthcare professionals we are seeking to recruit a suitable candidate to lead the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland in these areas in the role of Registrar.
The Registrar will lead RCPI in its goal of becoming a leader in postgraduate education and training, including examination and evaluation. They will work with the HSE NDTP, international ministries of health, health providers and international medical education training organisations to identify the needs and opportunities in post graduate medical training. At a local level, the Registrar will work with the Faculties and Institutes to ensure that RCPI programmes meet these needs and the needs of trainers and trainees.
This appointment is critical to the future development of the College. The successful candidate will report to RCPI CEO, Dr Terry McWade and will be a member of the Senior Management Team and Executive Board. This critical role will require a significant time commitment of two to three days per week.
