We are delighted to present the inaugural Leading for Quality in Changing Times conference in association with the International Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQua).
ISQua is a global organisation whose origins date back to 1985. Their mission is to inspire and drive improvement in the quality and safety of healthcare worldwide through education and knowledge sharing, external evaluation, supporting health systems and connecting people through global networks. They achieve this through a global network that spans 100 countries and five continents.
You will have the opportunity to hear from our international experts including our latest speaker added to the programme Prof Cliff Hughes, Cardiothoracic Surgeon and previous CEO of the Clinical Excellence Commission. We will also hear from Mr Tony O'Brien the Director General for the Health Service Executive amongst other speakers listed below. Along with this we will have a number of project teams that have delivered amazing improvements for their services and postgraduate trainee's that are working on improvement projects at the moment.

Quality Improvement in healthcare is a science that uses sophisticated tools and techniques to systematically introduce and embed changes to healthcare delivery. A lot of the time, these changes are focused on improving a specific local service, such as reducing the average turnaround time in a hospital's Emergency Department.
This practical five-month course will equip you with foundational knowledge of quality improvement methodology. You will see how quality improvement theory and methodology can lead to tangible, measurable outcomes such as quicker access to care, fewer adverse events, cost-savings, reduced length of stay, and more prudent use of resources.
