St. Luke’s Public Meeting explores living with long-term illness

Our public meeting took place online on Wednesday 12 October 2022.

Speakers included Dr John Brennan, GP; Professor Liam Plant, President of the Irish Nephrology Society; Oonagh O’Hagan, Owner and Managing Director of Meagher’s Pharmacy Group; Dr Kevin Connolly, Voluntary Director of i4Life CHS; Dr Noel McCaffrey, Founder and CEO of ExWell Medical, and Dr Ciara McGowan, Senior Dietitian in the DSME office in the HSE.

We were also joined by Kathy Carrol, who spoke of the lived experience and participating in the HSE Live Well programme. Kathy spoke to the Irish Independent about how the programme has helped her to improve her quality of life and ability to self-manage.
