The Royal College of Physicians of Ireland welcomes 197 new Members

An immense achievement

The Royal College of Physicians of Ireland welcomes 197 new Members at a special virtual conferring ceremony at No. 6 Kildare Street to be broadcast live as an online event on 14 May 2021 at 7.00pm.

The doctors have all passed the College’s Membership MRCPI examinations. MRCPI is an internationally recognised qualification and a standard of excellence. It is an immense achievement and Membership gives a real sense of belonging to the College and it provides many opportunities for our new Members to take up roles within the College and to help to shape its future and its training programmes.

Doctors achieved their MRCPI qualification in three specialties; General Medicine, Paediatrics, and Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Candidates come from 12 Countries. You can read about Membership and Fellowship of RCPI here.

I'm delighted that you are joining us as a Member of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland, an organisation that dates back to 1654. You are now part of an international network of 12,000 respected physicians based in over 90 countries. This College is now your College, and you should feel entirely at home here. On behalf of all of the Council and Officers of the College, I congratulate you. It is my vision, as President, to enable you to provide world-class care in a supportive work environment where you and your patients feel valued and respected. I would encourage you to become involved with your college and to join us for our events throughout the year.
